What is EPG?
The on-screen TV guide: what is on now, what is on next, and why it is sometimes empty.
In one sentence
EPG stands for Electronic Programme Guide — the schedule you scroll through on a normal TV. It tells you what is playing on each channel right now and what follows it.
Where the guide comes from
Not from the player. Your provider publishes it alongside the channels, and the player matches each channel to its schedule. That matching is why a guide can be complete on one channel and missing on the next: the names have to line up.
Why yours might be empty
Usually one of three things: the provider does not publish a guide for that channel, the channel name in your playlist does not match the name in the guide, or the guide simply has not been downloaded yet. Reloading the playlist fixes the third.
Using it in VERINZO Player
The guide sits beside the channel list on TV, and behind the DOWN button while a channel is playing full-screen — so you can check what is next without leaving what you are watching.
