What are Xtream Codes?
Host, username and password instead of one long link — and why it usually works better.
In one sentence
Xtream Codes is a way of logging in to your provider rather than downloading a list. You enter three things — a host address, a username and a password — and the player asks the server what you have access to.
How it differs from an M3U link
An M3U is a snapshot: the player fetches the whole list and works from it. Xtream is a conversation: the player can ask for just the categories it needs, request the programme guide, look up a film's poster and description, and see how much of an episode you already watched.
Which one should you use
If your provider gave you both, use Xtream. You generally get richer detail — posters, descriptions, seasons and episodes properly grouped — and large lists load faster because nothing has to be downloaded up front.
Using one with VERINZO Player
In My Device → Playlists choose Xtream, then enter the host, username and password exactly as your provider sent them. The host usually looks like http://example.com:8080 — include the port if there is one.
