Installing on a Fire TV Stick

Fire TV has no VERINZO in its store, so it is installed with Downloader — Amazon's own app, from Amazon's own store.

  1. On the Fire TV home screen, go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on Install unknown apps. On newer sticks this is a list of apps — find Downloader in it and turn that one on.
  2. Search the Amazon appstore for Downloader and install it. It is free and it is Amazon's own listing.
  3. Open Downloader and type the VERINZO code shown on the download page into the box. It is a short number, not a web address.
  4. Press Go. The file downloads, then Downloader offers to install it — choose Install.
  5. When it finishes, choose Done, then Delete to remove the installer file. Deleting it does not remove the app.
  6. Open VERINZO from the Fire TV apps row.

Putting it where you can find it

New apps land at the end of the apps row. Hold the menu button (the one with three lines) on the VERINZO icon and choose Move to front.
