The TV guide

Choose Live With EPG from the home screen for the grid: channels down the side, the schedule across, ON NOW marking what is playing. In the ordinary live view the same information shows against each channel.

Where the guide comes from

Not from us. The schedule travels with your playlist, from your provider. The player displays what it is sent and cannot invent the rest.

That is why two people using the same app can have completely different guides — and why Loading guide followed by nothing means the playlist sent nothing.

If the guide is empty or wrong

• Empty everywhere — your playlist carries no guide data. Ask your provider whether an EPG is included; many supply a separate EPG address.
• Empty on some channels — normal. Providers rarely have data for every channel.
• Right programmes, wrong times — a timezone difference in your provider's data. Check the device's own clock and timezone first, since a device with the wrong time shifts everything.
• Names do not match the channels — the provider's guide is matched to the wrong channels at their end.
